This Healthcare Financial Data Analyst II will be responsible for:
Performs detailed analysis of and implements all functions necessary to support and maintain patient and financial data for the Decision Support and Cost Accounting System (Strata), including data quality assurance and suggestions for process improvements
Develops and prepares ad hoc reporting/analysis and standard reporting necessary for key management decisions, including strategic/business planning, as well as participating in ad hoc projects
Partners with department managers to educate, advise, interpret the relationship of processes to reports; trouble shoot, resolve problems, and effectively respond to requests and provide financial insight into trends and implications.
Assisting with the development and maintenance of the costing statistics and the cost data which serves as the foundation for the hospital's cost management and patient- based profitability reporting
Advance data analytics and migration of reports using advanced BI/data visualization tools, like MicroStrategy Dossier
To qualify, you must have:
A Bachelor's degree in finance or a closely related field with 3 years of previous related experience with a minimum.
Excellent analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems OR design relatively complex systems and programs that cross department/divisional lines.
Agility in communicating effectively, in order to deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions or well-developed writing skills.
This is almost 100% remote
