This team manages financial reporting for Group Pensions and we are looking for an individual to assist in the financial close for this product line. The Financial Analyst role will be involved in performing quarterly GAAP and Statutory financial reporting, year-end Statutory blue blank exhibits preparation, supporting experience studies and assumption setting and maintaining the models supporting the product. In addition, the individual will work with our internal and external partners. This position will report to the Group Pensions valuation lead.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Run models to prepare submissions for various financial reporting needs including GAAP, Statutory, Economic, Cash flow testing, and Strategic Plan for group pensions product line
Assist in Year-end Statutory blue blank and NY submission preparation for group pensions
Support pensions experience studies and assumption settingWork closely with cross-functional business partners to understand and provide insights to quarterly performance
Support business and team members in the training, review, and support of reporting and analytics

Financial Forecasting and Modeling: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques of financial forecasting and modeling; ability to explore and evaluate alternative financial scenarios and results.
Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.
Process Management: Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.

BA/BS in Finance, Business, Economics, Actuarial Science or related discipline is required
Knowledge of Excel is required
Demonstrated oriented and strong organizational skills
Proven oral and written communication skills
GGY AXIS knowledge is preferred
Insurance industry experience is preferred
