The Industry Intelligence Analyst is a position within the Industry Intelligence & Digital/Partner Enablement Squad. Responsibilities include:
Maintain industry expertise by maintaining close relationships with industry organizations, insurance company counterparts, Key Accounts, Wholesalers, Sales Desk and monitoring general industry news/filings
Stay abreast of trends in the variable annuity industry and changes to competitive products, while understanding how to pull out the most relevant and useful information for our sales force and product development teams.
Work with key third party distribution firms to ensure product approval and proper positioning
Act as a resource for various third party sales planning solutions and 'annuity marketplace' platforms to maintain unique and accurate product information
Create and deliver presentations on the competitive positioning of our Individual Retirement products via phone and in person to internal and external audiences
Field questions from the Equitable Distributors sales force and Key Accounts on Individual Retirement products, competitor products and Individual Retirement product illustration system/illustration outputs
Maintain firm approval grid utilized by stakeholders throughout the organization
Take ownership of NAIC training process from course creation to implementation on various external platforms
Skills required to ensure success include:
Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
Business Intelligence: Knowledge of business intelligence; ability to utilize business processes and technologies for gathering, storing, analyzing, and providing access to data that helps the organization make better business decisions.
Communicating Complex Concepts: Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding; ability to use summarization and simplification techniques to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience.

Additional Skills and Qualifications:
3-5 years experience in annuity industry - sales, marketing or product development
Self-starting with ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a demanding environment
Exceptional PowerPoint and Excel (demonstrating advanced use of charts, graphs)
Ability to foster relationships with key partners and stakeholders with strong interpersonal skills
Extremely organized with unfailing attention to detail
Knowledge of IR organization, competitors and current practices in product development, distribution or marketing a plus
Experience executing in an Agile environment or the ability to adopt the Agile mindset and behaviors, as outlined below
