General Description: To analyze student financial aid applications in order to render eligibility determinations that are consistent with institutional, state, federal requirements, to make awards, and to verify eligibility for disbursement of funds. To assist in the analysis of documents and the linking of documents used to determine financial aid eligibility. To analyze conflicting information to determine proper student status within the institution and for financial aid awarding. To verify financial aid information for the purpose of completing the file review and awarding processes. Duties and Tasks: Purpose To analyze student financial aid applications in order to render eligibility determinations that are consistent with institutional, state, federal requirements, to make awards, and to verify eligibility for disbursement of funds.
Required KSAs: Â· Ability to interpret rules, regulations and standards established by College, state and federal entities.
Â· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Â· Familiarity with computer applications related to financial aid as well as student information systems, plus flexibility and willingness to learn new systems.
Â· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with proficiency of syntax and grammar.
Â· Ability to work well with students, staff and other offices for successful resolution of difficult problems.
Â· Knowledge of People Soft student information system, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook), and scanning software.
Â· Knowledge of federal and state regulations

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelorâ™s Degree or equivalent training and experience in business administration, finance, accounting or related field.
