The SIUE Foundation is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time, IT Manager/Database Administrator. Reporting to the Senior Director of Constituent Relations, the Database Administrator supports Constituent Relations, Development, Finance and various campus departments in fundraising administration. The Database Administrator is responsible for effective maintenance, performance, integrity and security of the organization’s Raiser’s Edge alumni and donor database and related systems. The focus of this position is to provide data-driven solutions using the Foundation's database and related systems to support the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship goals for the SIUE Foundation.
Daily duties of the IT Manager/Database Administrator include, but are not limited to: -Manages the operation and functionality of the SIUE Foundation and SIUE Alumni Association’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge, and related systems, to include troubleshooting of all system issues and recommending/implementing resolutions; -Responsible for all database access, analysis, reporting, maintenance, and responding to all requests for information as well as the general functions of the department’s data management. Coordinates with University Advancement staff, and other key SIUE staff methods for accessing reports and statistics, including development and design of reports and interpretation of data to users; -Creates online registrations and donation pages using NetCommunity. Facilitates on-line community for all alumni and donors. Collaborates with University Marketing and Communications as well as other Advancement staff members to prepare and distribute external email communication including college/school/unit newsletters, event, program emails and more; -Recommends strategies for improving functionality of system. Implements policies and procedures related to software usage and maintenance. Provides training for new and existing database users; -Develops and maintains a dynamic list of policies, procedures, and regulations for the Raiser’s Edge database and its use. Responsible for the information management plan, including developing implementing and monitoring plans and procedures related to record retention and data security; -Maintains data integrity and accuracy, as well as handles all global changes, imports, exports and other global database functions. Examines and cleans current data records ensuring data accuracy, eliminating duplicate records and removing inconsistent data; -Produces annual reports in support of the SIUE Foundation and Alumni Association. Produces routine reports on giving including monthly, annual donor roles and more.

1. Any combination totaling six years from the following categories: (a) Progressively more responsible work experience in IT-related profession. (b) College course work with a concentration in Information Technology (IT), IT Management, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent: -60 semester hours or Associate’s degree equals one year. -90 semester hours equals two years. -120 semester hours or Bachelor’s degree equals three years.
(Please Note: Only a maximum of 3 years credit for college course work is available.)
2. Two years of total work experience in a supervisory or lead worker capacity.
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS), Computer Information Management Systems (CMIS) or closely related field of study. -Three (3) years of experience in database management. -Experience with various Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. -A general knowledge of fundraising and basic accounting, and its terminology. -Experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge including RE NXT, Financial Edge and Net Community. -Experience with HTML. -Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel. -Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects. -Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to translate technical language and processes to a variety of end users.
