In this position you'll have the opportunity implement multi-cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, and On-prem) spanning multiple applications and integration technologies. You'll work on products that service our Disability and Absence customers - these customers span the Fortune 50 and are some of most well recognized brands in the world.
Success will require good analytical, problem solving, and communication skills; an ability to grasp and understand technology is a must. Beyond good qualifications and an understanding of technology, you will need to see the bigger picture, evaluate multiple options, inform, educate, and mentor other stakeholders and partners.
This role provides you an opportunity solve complex problems in the Disability and Absence product space and in the process build leadership and consulting expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in all phases of the SDLC including support triage
- Review Business BRD's, User Stories, and other requirements documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy,
- Elicit requirements from business stakeholders and assist business teams in documenting requirements in various forms: BRD's, User stories, Use cases.
- Creating functional requirements in form of FRD's, User stories, or Use cases
- Help breakdown Epics, into user stories
- Planning, leading, and facilitating requirements workshops.
- Mentor and provide oversight to team members and vendor BSA's
- Document and propagate industry best practices
Essential Business Experience and Technical Qualifications:
Required:
- 7+ years developing solutions for systems of record
- Experience creating data mapping artifacts for Informatica or API's
- Experience with Informatica or other ETL tools
- Working knowledge or JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
- Experience creating BRD's, FRD's, Use Cases, User Stories
- Experience working with developers developing a distributed system encompassing User interface, business logic, Webservices, integrations and databases
Preferred:
- Strong Excel background
- Intermediate SQL familiarity
- Experience with backlog grooming and helping teams estimate user stories
- Experience providing oversight to vendor BSA's of all levels
- Development of and enterprise application or platform from the ground up
- Functional and technical knowledge of claims processing systems and integrations
- Experience in the Group benefits industry
- Experience creating UI/UX mocks
- Experience with both waterfall and agile methodologies; Agile experience highly desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to details, demonstrated professionalism and time/task management abilities.
- Ability to establish strong relationships and mentor on/offshore development teams
