Marist College is seeking an enthusiastic Network Analyst that is eager to grow within a small team that is responsible for a large campus network infrastructure. In this role, you will have the ability to expand your skillset in both wired and wireless technologies, assist in network security planning and implementations, and mentor and train student technicians that help with your day-to-day operations.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline with at least one to three years of equivalent experience in networking and/or system administration highly desirable.
This position assists in assuring reliable ongoing network operations and support of the College’s network infrastructure. This includes the wired and wireless networks, network hardware, and networking related systems and software. The network analyst is also responsible for supervising and training the student technicians for the networking department. This position also works with other Information Technology staff to resolve systems and network related user problems. This position does participate in rotating on-call duties.

As a Network Analyst you will participate in researching, designing, configuring, and implementing a large-scale campus infrastructure. This position is a key member of the networking team and is responsible for training and supervising the network student technicians. The network analyst conducts wireless surveys for capacity planning and AP placement, performs network hardware updates, monitors the network utilizing various tools, and troubleshoots network issues. The department believes in continuing education, engages in formal training, and encourages the position to research, test, and potentially implanting new and emerging technologies.

Hybrid-Remote Eligible: This position is located in Poughkeepsie, New York and is hybrid-remote eligible with periodic on-campus work at the supervisor’s discretion.
Relocation: It is College policy to reimburse eligible newly hired full-time administrative staff members for reasonable expenses incurred in relocating to the area. To be eligible for reimbursement, new employees must move a minimum of 50 miles from their present home; must move within the first year of hire. Generally, the College will reimburse eligible moving and relocating expenses up to $7,000.
