IT Controls Assurance & Automation is part of the InfoSec group under Global Technology Operations. The ITCAA group plays an important role in partnering with the business to test/validate that controls are in place and operating effectively. ITCAA works with management to ensure they proactively identify, assess, and appropriately manages risks. We protect MetLife and our stakeholders through meaningful assurance and advisory, while advocating for proper oversight, adequate processes, and internal controls.
Manual and automated testing/validation is performed in high-risk areas. This role requires specific knowledge pertaining to the areas, policies or regulations being reviewed. We're looking for an experienced Senior Analyst that's excited to be part of a dynamic and highly collaborative team. The ideal candidate is one who is self-motivated, comfortable sharing their ideas, and passionate about building client relationships and delivering high quality, impactful results to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in testing/validation and automation efforts to assess the effectiveness, adequacy, and compliance with MetLife Policies, standards/control procedures and IT best practices.
- Tracking of metrics/reporting of processes in place to measure global compliance.
- Prepare deliverables that meet departmental and company professional standards of quality.
- Participate in projects, completing assigned tasks and responsibilities within budget and agreed timelines.
- Utilize data collected in analysis tools to rank and identify potential automation opportunities for testing/validation of processes/controls within high-risk areas of concern.
- Communicate timely and effectively with relevant stakeholders within MetLife.
Relationship Management
- Interface with relevant internal/external stakeholders for projects and other program deliverables.
- Maintain positive working relationships, sustaining ongoing partnership with key business contacts.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
- BA/BS in related field or equivalent combination of training/certification and experience (e.g. CISSP, CISA, CISM, CIA)
- 5+ years' experience related to IT general controls (e.g., security, change management, disaster recovery & backup, infrastructure, etc.); SDLC/Agile methodologies, cybersecurity, and cloud.
- In-depth knowledge of various industry security standards and frameworks ex, NIST, ISO, CIS
- Solutions-oriented; perceives and either resolves or escalates risks or obstacles as appropriate.
- Strong synthesis and learning agility; connect the dots and think strategically about business planning, governance, and solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of operating system and database platforms (e.g., mainframe, Active Directory, Windows, Linux, Oracle, etc.); network architecture; IT governance processes; IT risk management and assessment processes.
Preferred:
- Intermediate experience or above in use of MS Excel for data analysis and validation
- 3+ years Information Security, Network/Cybersecurity, or equivalent IT/Network experience
- Experiences in the following:
- Leverage access to data and analytics tools to analyze populations of data of moderate complexity. Assess the results of analytics performed to draw control conclusions and areas of risk requiring additional research.
- Experience with tools such as Power BI, ACL, ZENfra and other testing/data analytics and reporting tools.
