Our MetLife Retail Separation TSA and Management team is focused on creative solutions using a variety of tools and technologies in support of our Retail transition efforts. Our engineers and experts in the TSA Transmission group strive to develop secure, efficient, automated, reusable and fully auditable processes and continuously look at ways to improve existing processes. Their efforts also focus on solutions that enable process transparency and visibility which help to optimize customer experience for a variety of key stakeholders.
Participates in planning, organizing, and implementing of small to medium application delivery projects.
Engage with multiple technical teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify, define and develop necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements.
Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards and MetLife Strategy.
Follows approved SDLC, project management methodology and Agile framework, ensuring that all required steps are followed, all required deliverables are produced, and all approvals are obtained.
Proficiency in responding to technical questions related to tools/solutions.
Proactively manages all application related risk items / findings to closure / resolution.
Manages the full system development process, and turnover to production.
Utilizes knowledge of system flows and contributes to the development of standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions.
Write and implement DDL statements on MySQL and SQL Server
Design and develop reports in SQL Server using SQL Server Reporting Services
Document technical processes and steps in detail
Essential Business and Technical Skills and Experiences:
BA/BS degree required, major in related field preferred - computer science, engineering, MIS, CIS, etc.
3+ years of development experience with any programming language; PowerShell, Python and Java and full SDLC experience
Experience with Use case / Functional Design Review, Technical Design Review, and Test Cases review
MySQL and SQL Server
Experience in administering Windows servers with patching, software installs, OS reconfiguration
Prior experience working directly with customers to help problem solve and develop solutions as issues arise
Strong analytical and communication skills
Working knowledge of SharePoint
Familiarity with supporting Performance testing
Experience in the Agile framework and tools a plus
Experience with Customer Communications Management (Quadient, Xpression, etc.)
