We are seeking a highly motivated, intellectually curious Data Analyst with some hands-on experience working with a mix of large and complex data sets. This individual will play an important role on the Digital Platform Team as we work to analyze and assess production data issues, providing best in class support to the end users and a consistent and normalized set of operational datastores that enterprise APIs and applications can consume. This hire will report to the Director of the End User Support Squad and play a key role in the success of the team.
Qualifications
Skills required to ensure success include:
Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery.
Data Mining: Knowledge of database systems, statistics and machine learning; ability to extract patterns and information and turn them into interpretable structure for business.
Data Science: Knowledge of the processes, approaches, and tools of data science; ability to perform data related tasks and initiatives in various business circumstances.
Modeling: Data, Process, Events, Objects: Knowledge of data, process and events; ability to use tools and techniques for analyzing and documenting logical relationships among data, processes or events.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
- 1+ Years of data analyst experience
- Bachelor's degree prefered
- Analyze data to ensure it meets corporate policy and business data requirements.
- Analyze and develop logical data designs, and data models.
- Analyze issues related to production data to determine root cause and remediation needed.
- Ability to query and modify data in multiple types of datastores including relational databases.
- Ability to create data dictionaries and other related documentation.
- Work across multiple computing environments including accessing cloud-based resources.
- Understand the structures, usage, and sources of enterprise and application data.
- Understand the context in which data is used within the business and match business requirements to the sources of data within system.
- Ability to understand data file formats and schemas for fixed field length, JSON, and XML files.
- Basic knowledge of insurance and financial products and their life cycle preferred.
- Self-motivated, hard-working, and dedicated to excellence.
- Productive without frequent direction but comfortable seeking input when tasks or requirements are unclear.
- Able to communicate and work efficiently and constructively with team members.
- Adept at learning new technologies and skills.
Additional Technical Skills (Desired)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud-based services.
- REST/HTTPS
- Azure DevOps (repository, pipelines, scrum board)
- Shell Scripting
