Job Description
What you will do:
Assist with the identification, development and implementation of process improvement and efficiency tools-including Duck Creek, Underwriting Workbench and other automated tools-in order to reduce or eliminate process redundancies and inefficiencies.
Work with underwriting, claims and development teams to determine, document and communicate accurate product requirements in the form of User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.
Attend Agile ceremony meetings (stand up, refinement, prioritization, sprint planning) with Digital Delivery team as requested for assigned projects and provide timely updates to Director and underwriting teams as needed.
Perform User Acceptance Testing of ready stories prior to deployments.
Create mock-ups of potential solutions and validate them with business users.
Be a point of contact for product features clarification for the Digital Delivery team and other internal stakeholders.
Document business processes in a simple, clear and concise manner.
Perform training sessions for new users on automated tools as requested.
Assist in the identification of ways to reuse requirements across projects.
Assist in the conceptualization of new product features and updates.
Work within a cross-functional team to ensure that development solutions meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
Familiarize and understand subject matter regarding processes and implementation.
Familiarize and understand the use of JIRA to organize tickets and plan sprints.
Familiarize and understand Agile and/or Kanban Practices.
Acquire other internal products knowledge to fulfill cross product solutions.
Assist Director with creation and distribution of regular metrics reports, inclusive of data generated from Duck Creek, WINS, Claims Assure, Submission, DCI, Underwriting Workbench and other automated tools.
What you will bring to C&F:
Experience working in insurance industry, ideally 2+ years of experience withing as a Business Analyst or Product Owner within Executive lines preferred (Professional Liability, Management Liability and Cyber)
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently with moderate supervision
Ability to thrive in a deadline driven environment
