If you are an entrepreneurial-minded individual looking to work toward potentially becoming an agency owner in the future, becoming a Protégé Agency Producer for an existing Farmers® agency owner may be the opportunity for you.

The Protégé Agency Producer Program is designed to provide individuals an opportunity to grow their skills and business knowledge to become a Farmers agency owner while working for an existing Farmers agency owner. The Protégé Agency Producer can learn from an industry professional as well as have access to a training program through the award-winning University of Farmers® that is designed to help enhance knowledge and introduce tools that may help the Protégé Agency Producer grow as a business owner should the Protégé Agency Producer one day own their own Farmers agency. If a Protégé Agency Producer meets all applicable eligibility requirements, they will have the opportunity to become an agency owner, if such an opportunity is available.

Candidate:

A Protégé Agency Producer seeking appointment as a Farmers agency owner must meet the following minimum criteria within 12 months of the Protégé Agency Producer Program Start Date to be eligible for agency owner appointment consideration:

•       Active Property and Casualty and Life and Health licenses

•       Achieve stated minimum self-generated written premium targets

•       Successfully complete the University of Farmers® Protégé Agency Producer training program

•       Pass an agency owner candidate background check
