Job Description: POSITION: Full-Time Chief Technology Officer; Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week; Non-Unit Professional Position
Summary: The Chief Technology Officer works with the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) to ensure the long-term technology strategy aligns with the NECC's overall vision and mission. This position requires an individual with strong management skills and experience who is detailed and process-oriented, and a leader who is technically savvy and accomplished. The position will work closely with administrative, business, academic affairs and technical teams across all organizations and technology providers on the analysis, design, proofing, and implementation of technical solutions.
The individual should be able to demonstrate experience and understanding complex business needs. Demonstrate successful vision, architecting and designing, and delivery of infrastructure and platform-as-a-service solutions, scalable hybrid cloud operations, as well as on-premises deployed platforms.

- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, partners, and vendors
- Ability to influence others, negotiate to a successful resolution, and engage in effective problem solving. Ability to recognize and set priorities, and to use initiative and independent management decision-making.
- Experience with integration technologies, methods and processes, cloud and enterprise data warehouse implementations, and integration tools
- Familiarity with ERP systems and ERP-like architecture and systems
- Demonstrated experience interacting with all levels of management with strong presentation and facilitation skills
- Demonstrated success leading multiple teams and personnel, motivating a team to complete tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent writing, verbal, and proactive communication skills
- Proven collaborative attitude and strong technical aptitude
- Demonstrated success in vendor management working in collaboration with college procurement and finance, creating a multi-year IT vendor contract management plan and the IT operating budget
Job Requirements:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in technology or business discipline
- 5 + years of experience in a leadership role
- 5+ years of experience successfully managing technical teams of 10-20 people
- 5+ years of experience successfully developing network infrastructure design and implementation
- 3+ years of experience leading technical teams focused on building, maintaining, and supporting cloud-based web/mobile applications and platforms including Software as a Service (SaaS) and vendor hosted business application platforms
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in relevant field
- Project Management certificate
- Experience in leading enterprise infrastructure systems teams in a Hybrid Cloud environment to include but not limited to on-premise services, cloud (AWS, Azure, Oracle, and Google) and SaaS platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory
- Experience with M365, Cybersecurity, Network infrastructure, and Cloud telecommunications
- Solid understanding of information security; including system hardening, log analysis, intrusion detection, and vulnerability scanning
- Familiarity and experience with enterprise applications such as Blackboard LMS, Ellucian's Banner ERP and others
- Experience with successful project management, working with college VPs, develop, implement and maintain a multi-year enterprise-wide IT Project Portfolio with agreed to ranked projects: including monthly status reporting mechanisms
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse population.

Additional Information:SALARY: Anticipated starting salary range is $105,000 - $120,000 annually with complete fringe benefit package including competitive health insurance, dental insurance, basic life insurance, long-term disability insurance, paid sick, vacation and personal leave, educational benefits for employee/spouse/dependents, and excellent retirement benefits
