Job Summary
Under the guidance of the Residential Lending Systems Testing Manager, Test Lead, and in partnership with RLS - Business Analysts, this role will participate in development and review of business requirements, lead a team of RLS - Test Analysts in the creation of test cases and scenarios, conduct testing, document expected and actual test results, and clearly communicate results with line of Business and project stakeholders. This individual must possess an in-depth knowledge of residential lending software applications and business processes, be able to lead the team's efforts successfully using quality/assurance/testing methodology, analyze test results, identify and analyze issues and assist with root cause identification leading to resolution and communicate accordingly with business line lending colleagues, risk and Compliance, RLS- BAs, vendors and other Stakeholders. The RLS Test Analyst II will mentor Test Analysts, assist with workload prioritization, and will collaborate with RLS BAs and Business line to achieve approval of test plans.
Job Accountabilities
- Design, plan, deploy and perform system integration tests that fully test all business requirements and releases using established testing methodologies for one of four primary areas, although crossover work will occur. * Digital Application systems, which allows customers the ability to create mortgage and consumer loan applications online, and enhances their experience through monitoring and processing either electronically or through direct lender contact* Loan origination systems origination for the Residential lending area, presently designated by Mortgage and Consumer Lending. Origination includes application, underwriting, processing, prefunding review, closing, booking, lien perfection, forms and post-closing review. * Residential Lending Servicing and Default Services- post closing servicing, including construction loans, automatic payments, escrow and insurance, collections, bankruptcy, foreclosure and REO.* Mergers and Acquisitions - ensuring data from acquired bank systems is correctly mapped to our loan servicing systems, focusing on key areas of loan history, automatic payments, Escrow, and Insurance. Assist with statement reviews, credit reporting testing, and other special topics.Responsible for developing scenarios to test all products, policy violations, stipulations, checklists and vendor requests. Responsible for reporting and InformEnt Extract validation, testing and documentation.
- Mentor test analysts on best practices and efficiencies, workload prioritization and management, results reporting and communication. Maintain department procedures documentation and train new test analysts on testing methodologies, business partners, lending systems, testing tools and systems, testing systems, SharePoint, and other required systems.
- Develop and report progress against goals, work flow components and other non-financial metrics. Performance of user acceptance and software functionality tests of documentation and systems to ensure existing functionality has not been impaired by an unexpected or untested element of a release.
- Adhere to a prescribed testing discipline including development and running of use cases and fully documenting test results and work around solutions. Assist with procedure documentation and training of lending colleagues. Provide updates for process and procedure changes for organizational development, SOP and internal websites.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all key internal partners. Attend business line department and origination support team meetings to discuss automated decisioning, vendor issues, system issues, and coordinate findings and system requirements to management.
- Execute all activities in accordance with all regulatory requirements and in accordance with Associated Bank's brand standards and financial expectations. Gain an in-depth knowledge of the commercial, retail and default services loan policies/guidelines along with compliance regulations including but not limited to Fair Lending, RESPA, GFE, Reg X, Reg Z.
- Assist management in developing testing strategies. Schedule and facilitate communication to acquire business line approval of proposed test plans and scenarios and to introduce and engage the functional business areas in the testing process as needed for each project. Routinely update testing scenarios to appropriately simulate production business and process.
- Communicate testing results to RLS Test Manager, RLS team and IT Business Solutions representatives.
- Testing of Third Party interfaces.
Education
- Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Business related emphasis preferred Required
Experience - 4-7 years Experience in a financial environment with experience in lending or default services along with Testing experience within an IT environment. Required
- 7-10 years Experience in a financial environment with experience in lending or default services along with Testing experience within an IT environment. Preferred
Licenses and Certifications - Other CT-FL or equivalent within 2 years, Preferred
