The Benefits Analyst will be a critical member of the Benefits team in Human Resources and will be responsible for the administration of the Tuition Remission benefit, the Unemployment Insurance, Filing of the Form 5500's, employee communications as well as ad hoc analytics for the other employee benefit plans.
Responsibilities will include:
Administration of the University's Tuition Remission benefit, including
Auditing of the tuition remission graduate taxation
Revocation of the benefit
Oversight of the application process and entry of manual overrides
Internal support to HR Service Center on escalated questions
Administration of the Unemployment Insurance, including
Payment of monthly invoices from the DUA
Regular auditing of the monthly invoice
Resolution of escalated unemployment issues from the HR Business Partners
Analytic and administrative support for the additional employee benefit plans, as needed.
Preparation and Filing of the annual Form 5500 and comply with other reporting and disclosure requirements.
Creation and editing of communications and webpages concerning the employee benefit plans, including the annual updates to the employee handbook and benefits sections of the Human Resources website
Bachelor's Degree
At least 5 years of relevant experience
Strong analytic skills and the ability to organize and analyze large data sets
Attention to detail and problem-solving
Previous experience with SAP preferred but not required
