Arizona Athletics is seeking a driven, energetic development officer.
The principal objective of the position is to assist the Wildcat Club Development office with major gift donor identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
The position is jointly managed by the Athletics Department Development Office, which is managed under contract by the University of Arizona Foundation. The successful candidate will serve as a member of the Wildcat Club Development Team and will personally and professionally exhibit the mission of Arizona Athletics by planning, organizing, and implementing strategies to increase the level of personal involvement and financial commitment of alumni and friends.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward major gift donor prospects with the following initial annual goals: 250 in-person visits, 30 asked gift proposals and a 95% renewal of current Wildcat Club members
Manage a Paciolan donor portfolio of 400-500 prospects and a Raiser’s Edge donor portfolio of 20-30 prospects.
Assist in the stewardship, cultivation, and relationship building efforts of all current Wildcat Club members and season ticket holders
Generate reports that document donor contacts and gift proposal/solicitation activity. Regularly enter contact reports into Paciolan and Raiser's Edge
Increase the visibility of Arizona Athletics and the Wildcat Club and provide enhanced customer service to all season ticket holders, alumni and friends through various avenues of communication (e.g. hand written notes, letters, email blasts, etc.)
Attend all home football and men's basketball games as well as various special events to represent the Athletics Department throughout the year
Assist individuals who are interested in purchasing tickets and/or joining the Wildcat Club
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions
Dedication and motivation to initiate, lead and support value-added projects
Meticulous attention to detail
Knowledge of NCAA, Pac-12, and University of Arizona rules and compliance
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and has a positive demeanor
Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to plan, establish priorities and successfully manage multiple priority projects
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relations
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, and project a positive, professional attitude
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Three years fund-raising experience or equivalent
Must be available to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
Experience applying success in a fund-raising capacity
Two years college athletics fund-raising experience
