The Business and Finance Business Process and Systems Analyst will be a subject matter expert, responsible for understanding the business capabilities of all financial applications and how those capabilities map to the strategy for the department. They will collaborate remotely with Business and Finance functional users and the IT team to interpret business needs and apply technology to support business requirements. This includes conducting business process analysis and solution design on financial processes, conveying technical requirements to IT team, coordinating projects, configuring functional processes in the systems, testing configurations and system enhancements, developing functional reports, ensuring timely delivery of requirements, writing technical configuration guides, and developing documentation and training for end users to increase process efficiency.??A strategic thinker and leader with excellent attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a strong sense of integrity, confidentiality, professionalism, and project management skills.
Responsibilities:

Convey organizational strategy, functional and technical requirements, scope, priority, and timeline for Business and Finance initiatives to IT team.

Lead in the development of written documentation of business process, procedure, and system configuration; Provide oversight for the training of functional and campus users. Provide support and problem resolution to functional users and escalate to higher level support requests to IT as needed.

Maintains and supports financial systems based on operational and regulatory requirements established by the business and finance leadership team. Responsible for documenting changes to Business and Finance applications and business processes, developing risk and impact analyses, and driving functional efforts for defining test scripts and testing new implementations and enhancements resulting from business requests and system upgrades. Ensures that all testing has been successfully completed by functional and technical users and approved in a development/test environment prior to approving the release of any updates to production.

Responsible for the coordination of resources, schedules, and communication for Business and Finance system projects and leading system integration and implementation planning efforts. Identify, define, and document project requirements, scope, timeline, budget, decisions, and objectives. Ensure resource availability and allocation for projects. Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within scope. Update all stakeholders on project progress, timelines, due dates, budget consumption, and outstanding items. Interface across the entire Business and Finance team as well as with other critical campus partners to ensure activities are executed timely and processes are well-documented to ensure process efficiency and end-user satisfaction.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience; strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills; excellent attention to detail; experience using, configuring, or implementing financial systems; working knowledge of business and financial operations; proven ability to evaluate existing programs and processes and to recommend , develop, and implement innovative solutions that create efficiencies and add value to business systems; ability to analyze data and develop solutions that add value to the organization; ability to build and establish trusting and effective relationships with functional, IT, and end users; strong collaboration and teamwork skills; ability to handle multiple tasks, and process confidential information is required.??
Work Environment:
This position is a remote opportunity. If hybrid or in person, most of the work of the incumbent is carried out within a generally accessible, safe, indoor environment. The incumbent will be required to operate a personal computer and associated equipment such as computer printers and other office equipment used in the day-to-day office operations. The incumbent may be required to deliver or pickup various correspondences or materials from other on campus locations and must be able to walk drive or make alternative transportation arrangements.?
