Join Honeywell's Risk Management Team. Under the direction and supervision of the VP Risk Management, assist in the administration of all claims activity of the global insurance program, including all record keeping and the preparation of analytical and informational reports.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct claims handling, including corresponding with claims adjusters on worker’s compensation, product liability, automobile liability and property claims.
Act as internal claims resource to assist with investigating and compiling data and financial information to support Honeywell’s position on claims.
Assist the Director, Risk Management in conducting post loss-reduction techniques such as salvage and subrogation, as necessary.
Establish and maintain a working relationship with internal representatives, Insurance brokers, Insurance Carriers and Outside Defense Counsel.
Prepare regularly Claim Status/analytical Reports and facilitate communication to Risk Manager
Review and process invoices including legal bills and track reimbursement where applicable.
Reports directly to VP Risk Management
You Must Have:
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum five years claims and insurance management experience in the commercial insurance, risk management and/or brokerage environment
5+ years In-depth experience/demonstrated knowledge of workers compensation and liability coverage/policy forms, including experience negotiating terms and conditions
5+ years experience with third party administrators and claim handling procedures
5+ years experience/demonstrated knowledge of risk and claims management information systems
We Value:
Associate in Claims (AIC) or further insurance designation preferred
Excellent working knowledge of insurance reserving philosophies
Ability to interact with individuals from all levels within the organization as well as externally; strong interpersonal skills are essential
Utilize leadership skills to direct claims resolution and provide guidance on risk management policies and procedures
Highly developed interpersonal skills for dealing with sensitive, critical or controversial claim/insurance situations
Ability to solve problems by considering courses of action within the framework of management's goals and standards
