Business Systems Analysts within the Enrollment Management division at the University of Michigan help design, develop and maintain information systems that support efforts to reach enrollment goals. Our analysts work as members of the team to support configuration, testing, analysis, reporting, and project management for the administration of student records and data, admissions decisions and distribution of financial aid. Team members may also participate in project implementations in partnership with central Information Technology Services (ITS).
Candidates with 3-5 years of experience are encouraged to apply and will be considered for the multiple positions available. The intermediate level requires a minimum of three years experience with a salary range of $58,000 to $64,000. The senior level requires a minimum of five years of experience with a salary range of $65,000 to $75,000.

Create, update, and troubleshoot reports using Oracle Campus Solutions, Oracle Business Intelligence, Oracle SQL Developer, and other tools.
Assess business outcomes, analyzing internal and external processes on an ongoing basis, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing and implementing changes to ensure compliance.
Test system configurations and functionality, including building of comprehensive test plans. Consults with stakeholders to identify and evaluate functional requirements of new and existing systems.
Perform system maintenance and documentation updates related to product upgrades and continuous process improvement.
Create and maintain process documentation, manage online content on university websites for internal and external use.
Liaison between the business offices and ITS on system requirements for the University Oracle Campus Solutions SIS implementation; may serve as a project team member.
Manage projects for both initial software implementations and ongoing system maintenance; tracking tasks, resources, and timelines.
Lead the exploration, recommendation, selection and implementation of software to meet university business requirements.
Investigate software functionality and options in order to recommend process improvement and to optimize the unit’s use of a product’s functionality.
Perform analysis of necessary integration with other university systems, including Oracle Campus Solutions.

Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum three to five years of experience in business systems analysis or related experience. Experience using reporting tools to write queries and proven experience with relational databases.
Experience writing test scripts, documenting business processes, and managing complex system configuration.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google products and comfort with web-based applications.
Demonstrated ability to understand technical information, and communicate it to others using clear, concise, and user-friendly language, both written and verbally.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Ability to work well in a diverse and collaborative environment.
Proven ability to deliver quality work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Experience working in higher education, with preference for enrollment management areas and related systems (e.g., Common App, NSLDS, NCAA).
Direct experience with Technolutions Slate CRM.
Prior professional experience with Oracle Campus Solutions architecture and PeopleSoft applications.
Working knowledge and some experience with Structured Query Language (SQL).
Working knowledge of Python.
Project management experience; ability to track multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines with frequently changing priorities.
