Summary of Duties:
The Space Analyst 1 will maintain current building and room use space inventory for all campus facilities. Perform updates to AiM (University space inventory database) from information gathered during the annual space inventory survey as well as ongoing database updates due to relocations, remodels, and new facilities. Research, gather, compile, and analyze building/room space data and information and prepare reports and/or summaries from multiple sources including: FICM guidelines, construction drawings, archive drawings, databases, on-site visits, and departmental contacts. Perform various analysis of space data and prepare reports. Coordinate the updating of reference floor plans.

Three years of applicable work experience, one year of which must have been in space analysis or related work. College training in a related field may substitute for up to two years of the general applicable work experience on the basis of two years of college for one year of experience. Or equivalent education/experience.
Two years of training in space inventory management OR two years of practical experience as a data analyst, or equivalent.
Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid driver's license by the time of hire.
Experience in data collection and reporting.
Proficiency in using Excel spreadsheets and creating Access queries for data analysis and reporting.
Familiarity with AutoCAD software.
Experience with higher education minor capital projects.
Experience in architectural, electrical, mechanical, and/or civil drafting.
Knowledge of construction standards used by Washington State University.
Familiarity with WSU maps, map systems and reference building sheets.
