Learning and Development Program Coordinator is a critical member of the Human Resources team. Often this is the individual with whom new employees have their first official interaction. As such, this role serves as an ambassador of the Department of Human Resources' mission of
C.A.R.E.S..As part of Human Resources, the Learning and Development (L&D) team offers a variety of continuous learning opportunities, including but not limited to, online and in-person workshops, virtual toolkits, and training needs consultation to support the personal and professional growth and well-being of individual employees and teams.
The
Learning and Development Program Coordinator provides administrative and programmatic support to the L&D team in the development and implementation of departmental initiatives, virtual and in-person training programs, and special projects. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: providing administrative, technological, and clerical support and coordination for New Employee Orientation (bi-weekly) and routine training workshops. This support entails managing course registration and outreach to trainees, preparing and maintaining virtual and physical training materials, maintaining files, records and accounts payable, and serving as a point of contact for answering routine L&D questions by email or phone. They may also carry out other administrative duties as assigned, including providing office coverage and back up to other administrative staff within the Department of Human Resources.
Work InteractionsReporting to the University Director of Learning and Development (L&D) and working closely with the L&D Specialist, the
L&D Program Coordinator collaborates with other members of the Department of Human Resources, and interacts with departments and individuals across the university to register for workshops, process invoices, order supplies, and in coordinating logistics of trainings and programs.
Qualifications- High School diploma
- At least 3 years of practical experience providing a combination of customer and/or client service, administrative and clerical services, database management, event planning or project management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
Preferred qualifications- Bachelor's degree
- Experience or strong interest in learning and development, human resources and/or higher education
- Experience using Google Suite and Zoom
- Experience using Workday HCM or Workday Learning (LMS)
Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days on campus; 2 days telework). Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University.
