As a Remote Data Developer, you need to know how to:
The Data Interoperability Developer Lead is responsible for leading the daily operations of the team. Serves as technical expert across the team and coordinates efforts of Data
Data Developers and leads the full operational life cycle planning for the team. Writes technical documentation to support and run operations. Supports, maintains, and documents software functionality. Analyzes components to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed. Takes a holistic approach to analyzing and improving operations.
Provides leadership over large or complex projects within the team. Serves as a resource, trains and mentors other staff. Validates other's projects and work for completion and accuracy. Provides constructive feedback and solutions to management for continuous improvement of the team.
Manages all data interfaces requirements through use of all integration tools. Evaluates and understands integration build requirements and strategies. Performs analysis, design, implementation and on-going support of data transfer interfaces. Evaluates integration challenges for available modifications/requirements to existing interfaces.
Participates in periodic and major software releases/upgrades, including review of all release notes, recommended enhancements, QA testing, and impacts to current integration. Works with various departments and applications to assess, implement ongoing integration requirements and meet deadlines. Maintains documentation around current integration infrastructure and existing solutions.
Builds interface error work queues and manages ownership across various teams and departments to insure critical patient data is made available without interruption. Researches/troubleshoots data integration solutions.
Monitors daily error logs across interfaces. Produces periodic reports documenting benefit and challenges of current integration platform, message volumes, errors, key challenges, and recent improvements.
Participates in routine discussions with other data owners to review and recommend ongoing data strategies and processes/optimizations. Leads sub-team departmental project resources and communications. Acts as technical SME on all interface projects and be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Performs coding and development for new and existing interfaces and migrations within the assigned application. Complies with all change control requirements.
Performs required updates to documentation around existing / new integration (inventories) and any updates/modifications to current processes within the development/user guides.
May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
Develops technical and business process documentation for interfaces and APIs, functional requirements and interfaces and APIs and enhance and maintain existing interfaces and APIs.
Configures Epic Bridges interfaces or FIHR APIs.
Participates in informal internal training as part of ongoing team improvement.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Working knowledge of HL7 standard or FHIR APIs.
Experience with relational database technology (SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2) and the ability to write complex SQL Queries.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Software testing skills.
Exposure to Ensemble or another interface engine is a plus.
Familiarity or exposure to Epic System a plus, including working knowledge of Cache API.
Familiar with Subversion or other version control is desired.
Experience in healthcare industry or health information technology is desired.
Able to learn in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Being comfortable with self-directed learning.
Debugging, troubleshooting, and documenting skills.
Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems a plus.
Exposure to web service protocols (HTTPS, REST, SOAP, etc.) desired.
Strong communication and coordination skills desired.
Ability to work effectively under pressure meeting deadlines, delivering superior results and keeping the focus on the customer and meeting their needs.
Bachelorâ™s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Healthcare, Informatics, Information Technology or other related field or equivalent relevant experience.
Seven (7) years of experience with integration engine code development and source code migration procedures, clinical data integration using Epic Bridges or another EMR, FileMover or other data file transfer development procedures, Subversion or other source control code development and migration procedures.
Masterâ™s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Healthcare, Informatics, Information Technology or other related field.
Ten (10) years of experience with integration engine code development and source code migration procedures, clinical data integration using Epic Bridges or another EMR, FileMover or other data file transfer development procedures, Subversion or other source control code development and migration procedures.
