Purpose:
Reporting to the VP, Assistant Treasurer, this is a rare opportunity to contribute to a large international treasury department. This role will have responsibilities that cover Capital Markets, internal and external reporting, bank relationship management, and credit. Success in this role will require both strong analytical capabilities as well as the ability to work cross functionally and communicate treasury concepts to senior treasury leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing credit administration, administration of business insurance programs, trade credit programs, parent company guaranty process and banking partner relationships
- Work with cross functional teams including accounts payable, accounting, legal, and tax for preparation of internal and external reporting
- Prepare reports on the credit needs of the organization, as well as on receipt, disbursement, banking, protection, custody of funds, securities, and other financial instruments.
- Maintain and enhance the global cost of debt model
- Enhance wallet-share visibility by analyzing FX transaction history, cash positioning, and bank account structure
- Thoroughly understand all treasury policies and respond to related business queries
Qualifications:
Education: Four year college degree in a related discipline with strong interest in finance
Experience:
- Required: 2-4 years of experience in a global treasury function or related banking experience
Skills / Technical:
- At least one of: 1) thorough understanding of foreign exchange products, concepts, and hedging or 2) thorough understanding of global liquidity management concepts and best practices (notional and physical cash pooling, in-house-banking, and related IT systems)
- Expert user of Microsoft Excel is required; programming skills (Python or similar) a bonus
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with unstructured problems
- Experience with treasury management systems and related IT systems such as such as Kyriba and Bloomberg
- Intellectually curious and eager to learn!
Writing / Presentation skills: Skilled in preparing presentations, executive summaries and memos to senior management; possess solid communication skills; comfortable and credible speaking in front of management.
