ChristianaCare is searching for a Financial Analyst to join the Finance Team. This position is primarily responsible for financial analyses, planning, forecasting, and decision support related functions within the Financial Planning & Operational Analysis Department. This role will also have a specific function supporting the Finance Department in the development and support of the Highmark partnership and Virtual Health platforms.
Candidates that have an analytical background for a healthcare insurance company is highly desired. Some responsibilities include:
Supports the development of business plans for new program initiatives related primarily to the recent Highmark Health partnership agreement and the Virtual Health platforms.
Collaborates with analysts regarding approved business plans and supports the creation of control charts, reports, presentations, etc. for continual performance updates.
Performs profitability analysis of current and future programming and initiatives.
Creates forecasting and scenario analysis for assigned programs to support the quarterly review, annual budget, and five-year projection processes.
Provides presentations to various steer and executive committees on Highmark and Virtual Health performance status.
Assists in departmental opportunity analysis to support organizational initiatives and priorities.
Requirements for this position include a Bachelor's of Science in Accounting or Finance although an MBA with Healthcare Concentration or MHA is highly valued. Three to five years' experiencein healthcare budgeting, cost and reimbursement, and/or consulting attained in a hospital or intermediary setting is also required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
