MG Facility Services, a subsidiary of Makwa Global is a full-service design-build and facility support services firm within the federal government market. This position will allow: working in the office, at home, and onsite at our OCONUS project locations on a regular basis. Some travel will be required.
The Senior Project Manager (SPM) will be assigned a program or multiple projects that includes concept, proposal, design, development, integration, production and support of engineering, construction, and procurement solutions for various federal agencies. The candidate must be able to develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and customers.
The SPM will be expected to leverage the capabilities across the organization to maximize the effectiveness for their project(s). They are accountable for the overall execution of the project(s) and will work to establish new business opportunities, implement solutions, and help create customer growth by achieving commitments at all levels. 15+ years of experience of DoS or DoD OCONUS design and construction required.
The SPM is responsible for ensuring successful program execution from the team and is expected to have a high-level of proficiency in applicable technical and financial concepts as well as communications up and down the organization. The SPM must have demonstrated and relevant experience delivering multiple concurrent federal projects.
The Senior Project Manager will report to the Director of Operations.
Essential Duties:
- Assists Director of Operations with work assignments, distribution of projects, managing project managers and ensuring timely completion and meaningful project profitability.
- Develop and maintain long-lasting relationships with clients, designers, contractors, and organizations to enhance future business development opportunities.
- Develops and executes proposals.
- Manage and lead multiple projects simultaneously from preconstruction through closeout.
- Overall responsibility for management of project execution and profit and loss management.
- Coordinate, monitor, and manage engineering, procurement, and construction deliverables for federal contracts.
- Prepares project reports for management, clients and others and reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
- Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, fee and pricing decisions, with respect to compliance, scope creep, cost optimization, code requirements, procurement, safety in design, construction sequencing, and constructability.
- Develops and maintains relationships with clients to assure their continued satisfaction and works to build a continuing positive image for the Company.
- Develops, implements, and maintains the company safety program for a safe work environment. Creates and influences safety culture as a mentor and model.
- Oversee the administration of the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program.
- Work outside of normal working hours as needed to meet the Governments mission requirements.
- Other duties as required.
- An undergraduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related discipline is preferred.
- 15+ years of experience of DoS or DoD OCONUS design and construction.
- Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing and engineering principles and techniques, as well as accounting principles.
- Thorough understanding of insurance, bonding, contracts and legal requirements.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be able to pass DoS or DoD vetting for Post and project access.
- Existing DoS, DoD security clearance is preferred.
- Must have completed the 30 Hour OSHA Construction Safety class within the past five years and be able to provide a certificate of completion or three years of construction safety experience as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
- Must have completed the 40 Hour EM 385-1-1 Training or complete the course within 30 days.
- Must have completed the USACE Construction Quality Control for Contractors within the past five years and be able to provide a certificate of completion.
- Must be knowledgeable of safety and health requirements of various countries outside of the US, dependent upon contract locations.
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED Training.
- Proficient computer skills including basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and Adobe are required.
- Familiarity with ProjNet (preferred), ProCore, ViewPoint or comparable construction project management software. BIM 360 and BIM Field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
