Reports to: Director of Development
The Development Associate will work with the Director of Advancement and Director of Development to help meet the strategic development goals of Inly School. The Development Associate will be an integral member of a small Development team and will work closely with administration, faculty, staff and volunteers. The ability to interact confidently with Inly volunteers and donors and to maintain strict confidentiality is required. The ideal candidate is one who is extremely detail oriented and can comfortably and successfully manage several issues simultaneously.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gift Processing and Database Management
Coordinate and process all charitable gifts including; checks, credit cards, payroll deduction, recurring gifts, and electronic funds transfers for unrestricted and restricted gifts and accurately recording them in the Raiser's Edge database.
Prepare gift batches for deposit with Business Office.
Record donors' restricted and unrestricted pledges.
Prepare and send all acknowledgments, receipts, pledge letters, and other correspondence related to gifts.
Run reports related to the processing of gifts and distribute as required.
Review and edit gift records periodically for discrepancies.
Update biographical and contact information in constituent records
Manage monthly gift reconciliation with the Business Office.
Handle all aspects of the Matching Gift process and serve as point of contact for Matching Gift companies.
Assist with donor tracking and campaign support.
Special Events & Alumni Relations
Assist with the coordination and execution of Inly special events.
Manage vendor communications, coordinate with the Communications team on creative, manage mailing lists, RSVP’s and follow up from special event committee meetings.
Assist with the organization of Inly’s Alumni Relations program.
Support annual appeal program.
Assist with development communications.
Provide prospect research, as needed.
Ordering office supplies.
Bachelor's degree required.
Very strong computer skills, including high level of competency in Microsoft Office, Google docs, and relational databases; experience with Raiser's Edge preferred.
Experience working in complex environments while maintaining a high degree of organizational effectiveness, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and to take the initiative to meet deadlines in a time-sensitive and fluid environment.
Polished oral, written, telephone, and e-mail communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of constituencies.
Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Commitment to the mission of Inly and willingness to serve as an ambassador for the School, both internally and externally.
Minimum 2 years fundraising experience. Raiser’s Edge database experience and general understanding of development processes are highly preferred.
