In compliance with applicable New York and New Jersey State regulatory authorities, COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) is mandatory for all MSK employees, contingent workers, and volunteers. Exceptions are permitted for those employees who request and receive an approved medical or fully remote exemption.
*Staff working at a MSK New Jersey location must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, which includes having completed the primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster once eligible as mandated by New Jersey State. All New Jersey staff not yet eligible for a booster must receive a booster within 3 weeks of becoming eligible as a condition of continued employment at MSK.

The Operational Excellence Department (OpEx) is seeking a Senior Process Engineering Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will design and execute new analyses aimed at improving decision-making for hospital leadership to drive performance improvement, operational excellence, and deliver on strategic goals. We Are:
OpEx partners with key collaborators to identify projects and initiatives that deliver the ideal end-to-end, experience to every patient and family through innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement. We specialize in process engineering, project management, change management, and analytics to drive operational improvements to make excellence in patient care easier.
You will:
- Gather information and data from disparate teams, groups, sources, and systems to obtain vital details and complete analysis to support projects
- Meet with hospital leadership and project sponsors to understand business needs and context for data requirements
- Present results of analysis performed to a wide variety of differing audiences, translating technical and detailed data into action plans and/or recommendations
- Support team members in assigned projects and take the lead role on projects as needed
- Initiate and maintain a continual dialogue with leadership regarding analysis, scope, timeline and build project dashboards to simplify conclusions around complex data sets.
- Reviews and discusses operational and clinical processes to supplement and contextualize data analyses.
You are:
- Passionate about analytics and its power to transform operations and clinical care
- Excited to work across the enterprise and work across many departments.
- Adept at learning quickly, applying insights from past efforts to new situations
- Comfortable working with data and able to generate and effectively translate insights to all levels of the organization
You have:
- 4+ years of relevant data analysis, data science, or operations research experience
- Strong proficiency using SQL to query large relational databases and knowledge of either Python or R
- Familiarity and experience with Tableau
- Phenomenal communication and storytelling capabilities
