International Database and Website Analyst (Business Application Analyst) - (220000U2) The Center for Global Engagement is seeking an International Database and Website Analyst (IT Business Analyst) to maintain the Global Hub. The analyst will support the flow of information from a new, internally developed database onto the new Global Hub website. They will also serve as the liaison between UMB's Center for Information Technology Services and vendor to ensure that the OIS database is performing properly. The Global Hub has multiple elements that require support: the UMB Global Hub website, the UMB Global Activities Database, the interactive international activities map, the International Activities Intake Form, Global Hub ticketing system, and the International Memorandum of Understanding database. The position requires excellent communication and editing skills, and a general understanding of how databases function. Serves as the lead to support and manage the computer-based information systems of the UMB Global Hub. Supports the Global Hub elements, such as the Hub website, the activities database, the interactive international activities map, the activities Intake Form, ticketing system, and the International Memorandum of Understanding database. Works with experts in the UMB Center for Informational Technology Systems (CITS), analyze data requirements of the Global Hub and performance of the information systems in the Global Hub so CITS can update and improve systems. Ensures integration and compliance of the UMB Global Activities Database and the interactive international activities map with UMB standards and methods. while working with International Operations, CITS, Sponsored Programs Administration, Institutional Review Board, and other departments as appropriate. Provides technical support for Sunapsis, the comprehensive database for visa and immigration processing licensed by UMB from Indiana University. Duties related to Sunapsis include scheduling and coordinating system upgrades, liaising with the vendor and/or CITS on any technical issues. Track, troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate system errors and bugs, including issues reported by international students, scholars and department users. Ensures Sunapsis system data accuracy through reconciling duplicate records and communicating data inaccuracies with campus units whose systems feed data into Sunapsis (i.e., HRMS, Banner, Community System and Sunapsis). Works with CGE/Office of International Services (OIS) staff and CITS partners to identify needed improvements to interfaces with campus systems. Monitors Sunapsis listserv and attends webinars and conferences to stay abreast of the latest tools and features, reported bugs, and versions of Sunapsis and makes recommendations to OIS staff about new features to implement. Assesses current practices to ensure applications and systems support efficient business process. This may require modifying functional specifications for enhancements or customizations to the base application and/or system. Performs other duties as assigned. Education: Bachelors in accounting, finance, and/or information technology, information systems, computer information systems, programming, English, or communications, or other degree related to position. Experience: Three (3) years of experience in use and analysis of e-management systems or information technology Other: May consider a combination of directly related experience and education. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Experience or interest in international education or global health through employment, study, or life experience is preferred. Ability to speak a second language preferred.
The Hiring Range for this position is in the mid $70,000s to mid $80,000s, commensurate with education and experience.
