K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for an ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR FOR DEVELOPMENT, which is a full-time, salaried, benefits-eligible position.
An example of job duties includes but are not limited to:
•Manage large portfolio of major gift and annual fund prospects with the expectation to make 200+ personal visits annually. Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required. Must be able to travel as required. Must have a valid driver's license at all times.
•Identify, manage, cultivate, and solicit new and current prospects for major gifts and annual leadership gifts for the Ahearn Fund and K-State Athletics. Frequent travel within the state of Kansas, bordering states and potential national travel to cultivate and solicit gifts.
•Assist in management of the athletics endowment and planned giving programs.
•Work home and some away K-State Athletic sporting events and donor events.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree at time of application
- Three years of experience in college athletics fundraising or sales
Preferred Qualifications:
- Five years of experience in college athletics fundraising or sales
- Experience working with and managing a portfolio of donors/clients
- Experience fundraising in NCAA Division I athletics
- Former college student-athlete
Other Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to promote and demonstrate respect, collaboration and friendly customer service in all working relationships and situations
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
- Must be able to travel as required
- Must have a valid driver’s license at all times
