The Operations Reporting Analyst works with management and key business contacts in the development and delivery of standardized reporting by gathering requirements, analyzing data and presenting the data in a logical manner. The incumbent creates and implements analytical reports, improves efficiencies within the existing reporting structure, completes complex ad hoc requests, combines information from disparate systems, and serves as a subject matter expert on any reporting projects. The Analyst should be able to deal with large, complex data sets and make recommendations and changes to simplify and stream business processes.
The Operations reporting Analyst will:
Work collaboratively with management and functional teams to develop on-demand reporting processes and outputs, as well as improvements to the quality and integrity of database inputs and elemental definitions. Develops, implements and documents methodologies to extract and compile the required data from relevant systems.
Develop and maintain staffing productivity and payroll data tracking & integrity, at detail and summary levels. Provides detailed documentation of these processes, as well as participates in ongoing training for supervisors/managers in the proficient use of the developed data and source/tracking tools. Programs and maintains production of dashboard-level budget and operations performance information, along with transparent access to relevant explanatory detail, in support of the business and operational
Prepare ad hoc analyses to evaluate the operating impact or to inform leaders in decision making for strategic management options. Applies a broad range of expert software, database and billing finance/clinic & staffing workloads/productivity & operations flow knowledge to aid in decisions toward relevant scenarios and alternative models. Communicates effectively and continuously with leadership teams, and other Hospital areas where appropriate and external benchmarking organizations.
Consult with appropriate internal and external experts, to develop and refine a robust array of metrics and data quality assurance processes that sustain the foundation for meaningful, actionable analysis of decision support and operating performance.
Gather and interpret data requirements and translate the data requirements into report queries
Troubleshoot and perform regular data audits to ensure and improve data integrity; investigate and resolve data discrepancies
Complete daily/weekly/monthly reporting assignments and strives for accuracy
Learns new technologies and systems to advance knowledge of reporting and analysis
To Qualify you must have:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, health care administration or a closely related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and/or Access
Intermediate knowledge of relational database management systems such as MS SQL Server/MySQL and/or MS Access preferred
Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills, as well as strong writing and editing skills
Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects
