Reports to the Senior Manager of Booz Allen’s Insurance Risk Management (IRM) department which is responsible for purchasing and administering all aspects of Booz Allen’s global business insurance programs and providing risk mitigation and transfer guidance to internal clients. Works collaboratively with internal Booz Allen stakeholders, our external advisors, insurance brokers and insurers on risk exposure identification, implementation of best practices, compiling and submitting underwriting renewal data to our insurers and reporting and managing insurance claims. Supports the IRM Department in understanding new exposures and assists in researching new insurance and risk transfer products and tools. Supports or leads the firm’s Workers Compensation, Defense Base Act (DBA), Property insurance and several of the liability casualty insurance programs. Maintains fleet vehicle program by working with internal client team, broker and insurer to include vehicle management, premium fluctuations and invoicing on a monthly basis. Manages corporate insurance program documentation including insurance policies, endorsements, binders, coverage confirmations, and other policy documents, while updating and managing the department’s Risk Management Information System (RMIS). Manages the production of certificates of insurance for internal and external clients and responsible for initiating payment of premium invoices. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of experience with corporate insurance or risk management
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance programs, insurance claims administration and risk assessment analysis
Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, set priorities, meet deadlines and develop process efficiencies where required
Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years relevant experience
Additional Qualifications:
Experience working with or for U.S. Government contractors is a plus
