Job Summary The Retirement Benefits Analyst will administer employee benefit programs, multiple Defined Contribution or Defined Benefit Retirement programs. In this role you will recommend plan changes and serve as a resource to staff on benefit issues. You will undertake specific projects in the areas of benefit plan or system replacements, enhancements or additions.
The Retirement Benefits Analyst will:
Maintain collaborative team relationships with peers and colleagues in order to effectively contribute to the working group's achievement of goals, and to help foster a positive work environment
Assist in annual retirement plan review by monitoring administrative experience
Assist with ad hoc projects across the various functions of the hospital under the guidance of Manager and Sr. Analysts
Produce benefit calculations as needed for retired and active employees
Assist employees as they plan for retirement
Assist the Manager and Sr. Analyst in annual audit as needed
Administer Retirement plans in compliance with plan documents and contracts
Assist vendors with annual benefit processing, mailings and communications, and preparation of government filings
Reconcile and process Retirement vendor invoices
Acts as a liaison between the organization and third-party providers
Audit monthly/weekly vendor enrollment and eligibility files
Work with HRIS and vendors to ensure accurate and timely data transmission
Support and administer the day to day activities of external retirement administrators and vendors
Address unusual or difficult employee inquiries/situations or refer to the appropriate individual
To qualify you must have:
High School Diploma / GED
Bachelor's Degree preferred
3 years of experience with plan design and administration of Defined Benefit Retirement programs is required
