FOR USE BY UAB IT ONLY: To develop native mobile device applications for both the iOS and Android platforms. To build, test, debug and deploy both public-facing and enterprise applications. To consult with outside developers and internal clients regarding mobile device application development and modifications. This position will commit to fostering an environment of heightened security following Information Technology Security Policies and participating in security training, such as Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), on an annual basis.
1. Develops, tests and deploys mobile device applications for the enterprise and the public
2. Maintains a focus on customer engagement, working to develop innovative solutions that add business value.
3. Provides leadership within the mobile applications team, including mentoring and guiding junior developers.
4. Performs other duties as assigned.
(Annual Salary: $77,640 - $126,170)
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field and six (6) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the App store or the Android market
Ability to communicate with business owners to understand their needs and experiences
