Job Description:What we are looking for:This Systems Administrator role is a member of a team of information technology professionals that manage multiple University Systems. This role will be the primary system administrator for the University Video Management System and will back up other administrators on other systems such as the Campus OneCard System and Ticketing System. This role is responsible for configuring, maintaining and documenting the campus security cameras, NVRs, and overall system. It also includes helping install local clients and training those users to access the security system. This role is highly collaborative and will need to be able to effectively maintain a strong working relationship with multiple departments across campus as well as outside vendors and contractors.
*All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis.A Bachelor's degree, three years of experience, and an active Christian faith are required. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the required degree and/or years of experience.
Additional Preferred Attributes: - Experience with configuring Axis security cameras.
- Experience managing Windows Servers and Applications.
- Experience working with Windows desktops.
- Experience working with QVMS or other VMS Solutions.
- Experience working with CSGold or other OneCard Solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information in an accessible manner to non-technical employees.
- Hands-on problem-solving ability.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and make decisions independently.
What you will do - Install and maintain software clients on windows machines across campus.
- Install and maintain NVRs across campus.
- Provide training to users of the system.
- Configure and help aim new and replacement cameras.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency of campus-wide Video Management System.
- Work with service providers and technology integrators on the installation, repair and replacement of equipment.
- Document issues and resolutions via the ticketing system.
- Provide requested reports and assist with special projects as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission.
- Ability to comply with University policies.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
