Leads small/complex business requirements analysis, user acceptance testing, functional production support, system analysis, consulting, and upgrade project work.
Establishes collegial relationships with counterparts in other modules and areas of adoption across the University, balancing advocacy with the need to cooperate in the management of an extremely complex interrelated system.
Provides functional expertise for the Indiana University CRM initiative, supporting mission-critical University processes on all campuses.
Contributes to the growth and modification of the University Salesforce CRM platform by acquiring and maintaining knowledge of new and emerging applications, tools, and architecture that may be used to support these functional operations.
Acts as a liaison between business partners and the technical delivery team.
Works with the technical team to ensure appropriate functionality is in place in order to meet business needs.
Performs functional and system analysis, including identification of data models and definitions, business user cases, process flows, solution acceptance criteria, and technical specifications for transition to iterative application development.
Assists with successful platform adoption by providing end-user guidance and instruction on delivered solutions.
Provides advanced functional troubleshooting and analysis to resolve more complex issues.
Ensures the software requirements properly capture and convey the needs of the users to the delivery team. Works to ensure any derived or discovered requirements are properly documented. Clarifies and elaborates on the needs of the users to help the delivery team understand and solve the correct problems.
Communicates and consults with the partner resources in campus functional units and negotiates, mediates, and resolves issues critical to the mission of the University.
Works to identify areas of improvement throughout the development and support process.
Actively collaborates in project discussion to reach consensus on direction, product scope, or common understanding of complex issues.
Conducts experienced assessments to understand client business needs and strategic direction and identifies technology solutions to achieve goals; consults with IT staff and business users to identify, analyze, refine and document business requirements and processes and develop associated solutions.
Facilitates and leads interviews, focus groups, and workshops to establish current and future business requirements; coordinates the communication between stakeholders and service owners in order to effectively implement solutions.
Performs experienced business analyses, including construction of data models, business use cases, process flows and technical specifications for transition to IT solutions; establishes system requirements through functional and technical assessments of existing software.
Provides stakeholders with necessary analysis documentation for buy-in, leadership decision, and implementation; conducts walk-throughs of recommended system functionality and prototypes with business users in small group or large group settings.
Ensures uniform documentation presentation and content structure including, but not limited to, online documentation.
Develops test plans and conducts system/integration testing; can test changes, enhancements, and new programs or functions to ensure they meet business needs.
Degree in analytic or computer related field
2 years of business analysis experience working on complex problems and producing concrete, actionable solutions

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
