Job Description: This is a fully on-site position.
The Applications Analyst serves as a technical team member with respect to the ongoing maintenance and support of the University Student Information System, and other enterprise systems. The position builds, maintains and supports new and existing applications and interfaces to support various offices on campus by integrating systems and processes. The individual in this position also develops custom programming, reports, scripting and metric solutions per end user requirements. This individual meets with end users to analyze problems, develop solutions and configure applications to the appropriate specifications.
Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to)
- Serve as a technical team member with respect to ongoing maintenance, upgrade and support of University Student Information System
- Ability to translate business needs into IT processes
- Meet with end users to determine business needs and requirements for process automation/integration
- Create, modify and/or deactivate enterprise application user access accounts
- Design, code, test and deploy new technology solutions for various offices as needed
- Develop and follow best practices with respect to system configuration, data standards, integrity, and reporting
- Develop reports and metric solutions as needed for various departments
- Refine data, maintain existing technology solutions and code change requests
- Analyze the performance of existing technology solutions and take action to correct inefficiencies/troubleshoot system related issues
- Document all requirement gathering, requests for information and daily activities
- Maintain proper programming documentation
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies and programming languages, adapt to changing technology and seek ways to utilize emerging technology solutions
- Develop a detailed knowledge of various departmental processes to facilitate applications support, requirement gathering and the software development lifecycle
- Assist various users throughout the University as a technical support resource, responding to work order tickets as assigned
Job Requirements:Education & Experience
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred; experience considered in lieu of degree
- 1-3 years programming/analyst experience.
- Experience with relational databases, SQL Server, TSQL, and SSIS
- Experience in a higher education environment preferred
- Experience with academic ERPs/CRMs (e.g. Jenzabar, Slate, financial aid software (e.g. PowerFAIDs), reporting software (e.g. Infomaker, SSRS, PowerBI), Batch Programming, API Integrations, and developing within the Office365 suite (PowerApps/PowerAutomate), a plus

- Understanding of current technology and development trends around web, mobile, desktop and/or cloud computing
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Excellent oral and written skills and ability to communicate comfortably with students, colleagues, and external constituents
- Flexible and able to multi-task
- Exhibits a high level of professionalism, leadership, creative problem solving, diplomacy, negotiation and sales skills, and the ability to manage complex projects with minimal supervision
- Professional, courteous demeanor and appearance; ability to work professionally with students, faculty, staff and administration and represent the University professionally to the public

Additional Information:This is a fully on-site position.
The anticipated hiring range for this position is $62,500-$69,500. The final offer will be based on the successful candidate's qualification and experience.
