Job Description:
What We're Looking For

The Research Analyst supports the university mission by accessing and analyzing student-centered data within the Office of Institutional Research. This position provides data-driven support to university decision makers. The Research Analyst must be a critical thinker with strong communication skills and the ability to be an effective team player while also working effectively with little supervision.

• A Bachelors Degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, data analytics or related field, three years of experience, and an active Christian Faith are required. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
• Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Additional Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of data structures and experience with SAS or other database programming language.
• Experience using PowerBI, Tableau, or other BI/visualization tools.
• Experience with handling large quantities of data from multiple sources: Ability to cleanse, join, and manipulate data.

What You Will Do

• Provide strategic information analysis and decision support to university decision makers.
• Support the collection, analysis, management and reporting of key university information by utilizing statistical and computational methods.
• Prepare data files by writing computer programs to access university databases and external data sources.
• Prepare data visualizations of university data by utilizing SAS and Microsoft Power BI tools.
• Partner with internal constituents to design, create, and administer surveys using Qualtrics. Create appropriate analytic reports and communicate findings.
• Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission.
• Ability to comply with University policies.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
