Banner Pharmacy Service???s 340B Program team is proud to be responsible for one of the largest 340B system programs in the nation, encompassing twenty-two 340B facilities with multiple Child Sites and Contract Pharmacies. Our programs range from programs at 25 bed Critical Access facilities to programs at Academic Medical Centers, with dozens of Child Sites and Contract Pharmacies. We are on the cutting edge of program optimization, utilizing new technologies and auditing practices to increase both compliance and program opportunities that allow extension of the care provided to underserviced populations. As a growing program on the forefront 340B program management, we empower our facilities to provide more care directly to the patients who need it the most.
As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services 340B Analyst, you will compile and assesses financial data across the pharmacy enterprise to support strategic service line growth and development on the contract side of things working with 3rd party vendors. This includes assisting pharmacy leadership in managing 340B Drug Discount Program through regular compliance auditing, provider list updates, and software management, applying systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine system functional specifications, maintaining accurate records, through multiple databases, and routinely communicating successes to the customers and the Pharmacy Leadership team.
We are seeking a full-time Pharmacy 340B Analyst to join our team! This individual will work Monday through Friday during regular business hours (usually 8 am-4:30 pm). This is a 100% remote position that requires attention to detail and self-motivation to get the work done. Banner Pharmacy Services is a collaborative space where our analyst team works with both local hospital leadership and their colleagues.

Clinical Pharmacy Services are also included in this robust new service line and are responsible for the management of the Banner formulary, development of standardized system wide clinical pharmacy services, and management of adverse drug event preventions. Clinical Pharmacy Services provides collaborative drug therapy management and educational interventions in patient care to optimize medication therapy, improve outcomes, promote wellness, and disease prevention.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position functions in a support capacity for the Pharmacy 340b Program Director and 340b Covered Entities to provide information, analysis and recommendations for management and compliance activities supporting the pharmacy adherence to all requirements of the 340b program. This position works with operations on reasonable and logical solutions in order to accomplish compliance. This entails planning, design, implementation and maintenance of the system 340b program including related policies, procedures and processes. This role involves investigating, responding, and reporting accurate data related to split billing and contract pharmacy and serves as an organizational resource for acute and contract pharmacy employees and facility Authorizing Officials.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Provides guidance and analysis of 340b/WAC/GPO purchasing at 340b Covered Entities within Banner Health (DSH, CAH, etc.).
2. Conducts on-site and table top audits, document reviews and interviews to ascertain facility compliance with standards, rules and regulations. Identifies and assesses areas of compliance risk. Documents findings and recommendations and prepares timely audit reports. Supports development and monitors completion of facility plans of correction.
3. Reviews, evaluates and assists in the development and implementation of system policies, procedures and guidelines as they relate to the 340b program.
4. Serves as a subject matter expert on internal and external standards. Provides education to address regulatory changes and gaps in regulatory compliance. Provides guidance and ongoing support to ensure understanding of 340b requirements.
5. Prepares, analyzes and reports compliance. Recommends improvement strategies and assists with the resolution of issues identified.
6. Maintains regulatory expertise by participating in continuing education opportunities, reviewing professional publications and attending educational workshops.
7. This position has multi-facility responsibilities, as well as involvement in system-wide regulatory activities. Internal customers include: leaders, physicians and all staff engaged in preparation, dispensing, ordering or administration of medications. External customers include: public regulatory bodies, surveyors and state and federal agencies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires pharmacy technician licensure in the state of practice (where applicable). Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification required.
Must demonstrate 5+ years of hospital and/or retail pharmacy experience or in depth knowledge of pharmacy operations. Must possess good organizational, problem solving and computer skills. Must demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills. Must have knowledge of computer software, particularly medication management information system software, and Microsoft applications. Must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy and be able to travel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to utilize pharmacy information system and vendor software effectively. Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills. Familiarity with pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
