Serves as a business process expert providing operational support to end users on all campuses who submit requests or report student records problems.
Leads SIS Help Desk responses by assigning incidents to student records staff.
Conducts research and analysis to troubleshoot specific problems and determine appropriate path for resolution.
Compiles data and reports on SIS Help Desk Student Records activities.
Provides support for questions and research issues that arise on a day-to-day basis.
Conducts research and analysis to identify data inconsistencies and troubleshoot specific problems.
Assists technical and functional staff in determining appropriate solutions.
Supports academic calendar and student records maintenance by collecting, validating, documenting, entering, and updating SIS control table values.
Ensures academic calendar dates are in compliance with federal and state financial aid regulations.
Supports batch file processing and semester start-up processes, such as creating enrollment appointments and batch term activation process monitor jobs.
Performs systems testing and validates/interprets results.
Provides analysis and programming related to the design, development, and support of systems.
Consults with stakeholder(s) and senior peers to define system requirements, problems, and proposals; conducts studies and assists in presenting detailed requirements/designs to stakeholder(s).
Documents systems analysis and programming efforts (changes, new functionality, issue/problem resolution); performs system unit and integration testing.
Researches and stays up-to-date with new standards, tools, and emerging technology and services.
Ensures that all protocols used in the design and programming of systems are up to date and compliant with university policies and standards.
Bachelor's degree (preferably in computer science or related field)
3 years experience in resolving highly complex integration issues involving multiple higher education technologies or systems
Experience with training and mentoring student records staff members in a shared services environment
Combinations of related education and experience may be considered

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
