Problems & Resolutions Analyst - PA Billing Relations

The Problems & Resolution Analyst is responsible for researching and responding to complaints and issues raised by patients in regard to their Clinic billing. Responsible for acting as a liaison between the patient and the clinical office in resolving disputed charges or balances and reporting to management on outstanding and resolved issues.
Job Relationships Reports to the Billing Relations Manager
Address patient inquiries and complaints within 10 business days of notification.
Maintain ability to produce reports from the Clinic's practice management system through Analyzer or other appropriate report generators.
Serve as a resource to Billing Relations staff pertaining to policies and procedures and appropriate handling of patient issues.
Maintain file history, statistics and documentation of matters being addressed, ongoing and resolved.
Correspond with insurance companies and patients and update patient accounts to reflect changes resulting from issue resolution.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures.
Adhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training & accomplishments as required per policy.
Provide excellent customer service and adhere to SC Way customer service philosophy.
Education/Experience High School graduate or GED required; college preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong knowledge of insurance billing and regulations.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Proficiency with the Clinic's practice management system (IDX), electronic health record (Touchworks), and the Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to work independently on assigned duties with minimal supervision.
Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard.
Working Environment Requires sitting and standing for periods of time working in an office environment.
