Located on the flagship campus of the Indiana University system, SPH-B has more than 2500 enrolled undergraduate and 380 graduate students, 200 faculty, and 95 staff in five departments (Applied Health Science, Environmental and Occupational Health, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Health & Wellness Design, and Kinesiology). We are in a period of profound growth, as we have hired more than 30 new tenure-track faculty in the last three years. Job Summary
Department Specific Responsibilities
Assists the director of faculty affairs and director of communications and outreach on coordination of school outreach related to faculty recruitment, VIP visitors, and other schoolwide related events.
Responsibile for communication and coordination of travel and visit itineraries for SPH-B visitors
Assists with the reimbursements and reconciliations related to visitor travel
Assists with the cultivation and monitoring outreach to potential visitors or faculty candidates
Serves as a co-host while visitors are in Bloomington.
General Responsibilities
Coordinates support for project management activities, resource allocation, and communication.
Develops a schedule designed to meet necessary deadlines and communicates with team members.
Monitors project progress and handles moderately complex issues that arise.
Ensures projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
Collaborates with cross functional teams with varying levels of seniority and experience to support various programs.
Performs a variety of administrative skills and prepares correspondence related to the project.
Maintains a detailed, organized file and records system.

EDUCATION
Required
High school diploma or GED
Preferred
Bachelor's degree
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
2 years of relevant experience
Preferred
2 years of project management experience

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
