Compensation: $70,000 - $84,000 (depending on experience)
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) at the University of Minnesota seeks an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to support and grow our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and reporting environment.
This position will be primarily focused on supporting and maintaining the University of Minnesota’s enterprise reporting environments using SQL and documented support procedures. Ideal candidates will have excellent technical and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team and independently.

Job Responsibilities: Work within the Analytics Development team, partnering with business resources and IT peers to support and enhance the stability and performance of our Analytics environment. Complete scheduled and requested reporting platform lifecycle activities to ensure the accuracy and usability of key reporting data. Support and enhance internally developed reporting and analytical applications. Participate in system and application upgrades. Contribute to projects to update and modernize the University of Minnesota’s reporting environments. Triage, self-assign, and resolve operational production and system user issues.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience or a comparable combination of education, training, and experience. Experience supporting an enterprise reporting environment. Ability to analyze and create complex SQL code.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Oracle databases and PeopleSoft data. Familiarity with Tableau support and development. Familiarity in scaling and optimizing schemas, performance tuning SQL and ETL pipelines in OLTP, OLAP and data warehouse environments. Familiarity/experience with troubleshooting applications on Linux (any Shell Scripting experience) and Windows Server. Familiarity with Informatica PowerCenter or similar ETL environment. Familiarity with integrating structured/unstructured data from multiple data sources (Using Python, Scala or Java).
