The Commissions Financial Analyst reports to the Accounting and Commissions Manager and is responsible for providing financial analytical services. This includes tracking commission structures and rates while ensuring that they match commission data paid out to Agent Owners on a monthly basis. The right candidate can ensure the tracking of pass-through charges in Salesforce for all field Agents is accurate and up to date, while maintaining and processing the Commissions Unidentified Log. The Commissions Financial Analyst will post daily transactions and ensure reports are processed in a timely manner to meet required deadlines.
Essential Job Duties:
Subject Matter Expert (SME) for understanding Commissions Data Pay Structures and Rates.
Run monthly reports and assist the Accounting and Commissions Manager with providing data analysis that explains key variances in commission structures
Responsible for maintaining accurate field agent pass through charges and ensure tracking in Salesforce is accurate and up to date.
Record monthly journal entries into the accounting software
Maintain reconciliations for unbilled report activity including detailed documentation to substantiate
Maintain Unidentified Log and implements 90 – 120 deadlines (including but not limited to):
Gathering commission statement copies, ensures data entry into AMS360, and UC log updated
Enter and post daily transactions.
Verify that transactions comply with financial policies, procedures
Process reports after data entry.
Assists in maintaining AAO office files (W-9’s / 1099’s).
Interprets findings of Commission data using a variety of commonly used analytic practices and procedures
Backup for the Accounting and Commissions Team Lead, (including but not limited to):
Monthly “Not In” Commission reports to Agent Owners
Yearly Auditor commission files
Other related duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Business or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
2-4 years’ experience in Accounting/Finance or a related field with an emphasis on Financial Analysis
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of commonly used accounting and analytic concepts, practices, and procedures
Salesforce experience preferred
