Summary The Office of Admissions is currently seeking applicants to fill a Systems Analyst I position.Â The position will support the analysis, design, and implementation of software/systems technical support.
You will join a collaborative and innovative team in the Office of Admissions. Incumbents will have the unique opportunity to develop and grow professionally while supporting the department in the transition from a decades-old mainframe SIS to Workday Student, a cloud-based system.
This position is established as a two-year (2) term position that may be renewable through the duration of the Workday Student project or beyond.
Example of Duties
â¢ Evaluates system specifications and tests for compatibility.
â¢ Audits and administers access controls.
â¢ Develops scripts to automatic repetitive tasks.
â¢ Troubleshoots complex problems involving multiple systems and working with vendor support to implement fixes.
â¢ Modifies, maintains, and updates existing software.
â¢ Reviews potential applications and interfaces of hardware and software.
â¢ Participates in the design of detailed systems design specifications to meet defined requirements.
â¢ Develop fixes to production issues, test and deploy.
â¢ Individual contributor position with developing professional and/or technical skills working under immediate to general supervision
â¢ Grasps professional-level knowledge and concepts of field while working in a progressive learning mode
â¢ Works on problems and issues of somewhat limited scope
â¢ Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data for which answers are available or can be obtained
â¢ Responds to inquiries and issues, escalating to manager or higher level workers as appropriate
â¢ May lead projects of limited scope and complexity
â¢ May provide guidance to students
