Job Description: What We Are Looking For
Baylor University is seeking a Project Manager as part of an NIH-funded research project in the Language Impairment and Down Syndrome Lab in the Department of Communicative Sciences and Disorders (CSD). Research in the lab focuses on language and literacy developing in individuals with primary language impairment and children and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The proposed project evaluates the feasibility, acceptability, and initial treatment effects of written language intervention for young adults with IDD. This position is an opportunity to learn about and contribute to research on clinical trials, written language intervention, and implementation science.
A Bachelor's degree, three years of relevant work experience, and a Christian faith are required. A Master's degree and five years of relevant work experience are preferred.

Ideal candidates will possess:
Ability to document activities in a reliable and detail-oriented way to enhance reproducibility
Ability to rapidly build and maintain rapport and engagement with young adults with disabilities
Knowledge of human subjects protocol management, data structures and statistics, and quantitative research methods
Proficiency in Windows based applications
What You Will Do
Manage subject recruitment
Coordinate the speech-language and literacy study activities with young adults with IDD
Oversee material development
Supervise undergraduate research assistants
Administer and interpretate norm-referenced assessments of speech, language, and literacy, as well as supporting intervention delivered via telepractice
Collect data as needed and enter into the study databases and corresponding assessment reports for participant families
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
Ability to comply with university policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
