Position Summary:
The Project Manager will be the driving force behind the success of multiple simultaneous technology projects. They will follow established project management processes to deliver assigned projects on time, within budget and meet high-quality standards and stakeholder expectations. They will manage all operational and tactical aspects of IT projects including planning, cost management, scope management, change management, resource management, communications, schedules, deliverables, and quality.
Essential Functions:
Essential Project Manager functions
Creates and adjusts detailed project plans and proactively manage detailed schedules and milestones.
Determines project risks on an ongoing basis, escalates issues and drives resolution.
Documents resourcing needs, availability and commitments. Provides insights on resource allocation.
Provides clear, accurate and timely communications; including status reports with project-specific KPIs.
Manages relationships with IT resources, vendors, stakeholders and user community.
Comfortably facilitates and handles project communication with project team, requesting university groups, and senior stakeholders.
Manages changes to project scope.
Provides weekly update of status of projects key health indicators from concept through implementation.
Tracks costs and performance, service levels and other metrics required to ensure project goals and objectives are met.
Works closely with multiple departments and teams and drive successful project delivery.
Handles multiple projects and assignments.
General Project Manager functions
Managerial responsibility within a function, with responsibility for setting expectations, defining roles and coaching team members.
Contributes to evaluating and making recommendations on resource requirements on projects.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, business administration or equivalent work experience.
3-5 years relevant experience.
Google Suite, MS Office Suite (Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio), TeamDynamix.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated understanding of Fordham's culture and environment, as well as the technical, business and cultural environment of higher education in general.
Familiar with teaching environment, curriculum development and processes.
Strong skills in the performance and supervision of the following are required:
