Zions is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join us in revolutionizing technology in the banking industry. When you join Zions Bancorporation's Enterprise Technology and Operations division, you will be part of a huge movement to improve how customers bank through technology innovations the banking industry has never seen. We are looking for a Database Administrator who can focus on detailed data problems and come up with creative and efficient solutions. Below are some other responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Support Business partners with their database needs
Develop and maintain system documentation \ processes
Collaborate with our business partners to troubleshoot performance issues.
Working closely with great team mates to ensure system resources are at optimum levels.
Coordinating and performing patching efforts.
Qualifications:
2+ years' experience with Oracle & Microsoft SQL Server.
Oracle 19c, multi-tenant
DB Migrations
Installation, upgrading, patching
Knowledge of UNIX and Linux
Clone\Backup\Restore
Release Management
Change Management
Vulnerability Management
Query tuning
Analyze and resolve data issues
Excellent troubleshooting\problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Team player
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications
Experience with and exposure to cloud ready and cloud native contexts, both using on-prem technologies (e.g. OpenShift) as well as public cloud service (e.g. Azure, AWS, IBM, GCP) is a plus
Experience with CI/CD (e.g. Azure Devops Pipelines , Jenkins, GitLab) is a plus
Google Cloud Platform (GCP Experience) is a plus
Agile development methodologies (e.g. SAFe, Kanban, Scrum) is a plus
Experience managing complex customer facing platforms, processes, and tools.Strong working knowledge of financial/banking systems is a plus

This position will ideally be located at the Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT, but is also open to be located 100% remote within the United States.
Pay Range:
Database Administrator II: $65,000-$95,000
Database Administrator III: $80,000-$110,000
