Job Description:
At Regions, the Financial Analyst gathers, organizes, analyzes, and communicates relevant financial information in support of line of business partners.
Primary Responsibilities
Analyzes, consolidates, interprets, and communicates financial data
Prepares detailed reports and presentations for review by all levels of management
Monitors business unit financial performance against plans, forecasts, and budgets
Consolidates a wide range of operating and financial projections for the development of both short-term and long-term business plans
Assists with junior analyst training and development
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a directly related field with two (2) years of experience with management financial reporting
OR Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a directly related field

The Corporate Costing Analyst is responsible for effectively communicating Regions' Enterprise Cost Framework, methodologies, strategies, and financial results to a diversified group of internal business clients. As a member of the Corporate Costing and Analytics team, this role will be working with Regions' Business and Finance Managers to develop and document a comprehensive understanding of the economics of the organization's business area processes. This knowledge will be leveraged to develop actionable costing insights within the Cost Framework.

Advanced reporting skills for studying variances, preparing budgets, and developing forecasts.
Participate as a key stakeholder in the Change Management processes. Assess change impacts by conducting impact analyses, assessing change readiness and identifying key stakeholders.
The Regions' Corporate Costing and Analytics team is a highly collaborative and innovative group of people who leverage their talents and skills to provide a superior product to our Finance and Business constituents. The team is responsible for delivering actionable multi-dimensional insights to all Lines of Business and Support areas for Budget, Actual and Forecast scenarios. While each teammate has their specific role and responsibilities, to be successful we leverage the complementary skills each teammate possesses which allows for interactive dialog, problem solving and ideation.
The Cost Financial Analyst works closely with their Cost, Finance, and Business teammates in the use of cost inputs and results to analyze and solve business problems, providing insights into the economics of specific businesses and processes. To be successful the incumbent must be adept at exploring and analyzing complex sets of data and executing Cost Studies through the development lifecycle into a production process. A robust knowledge across the breadth of banking is preferred with an emphasis on expense analysis, business processes and process modeling, budgeting and forecasting, and analysis of processing results. Excellent communication and technical skills are required to meet the requirements of the position.
Technical skills necessary for success in the role are very strong Excel 365 skills, mid-level SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, Data Lake), BI Analytics and Reporting (Qlik, Tableau), Oracle Hyperion Essbase, Office 365.
This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
