Job Description:
At EnerBank, the Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for analyzing software, developing testing procedures, and testing software products.
EnerBank USA, a division of Regions Bank, engages in strategic partnerships with home-improvement manufacturers, distributors, franchisors, trade groups, and other organizations (with networks of home improvement contractors) to develop customized white-label loan programs to help them increase their sales as well as attract and retain top dealers.
Primary Responsibilities
Analyzes software and determines appropriate testing strategies
Develops and documents test procedures per planned testing strategy to ensure code test coverage
Performs software testing, records, and communicates results
Collaborates with software developers to ensure strong understanding of software design
Leads regular demonstration meetings to demonstrate software functionality and gather changes to requirements as necessary
Conducts functional, black box testing on software
Maintains proper test case documentation and backup
Triages items reported and creates tickets for bugs as needed
Troubleshoots issues with software in production
Assists in serving as the project testing lead
Researches, evaluates, and recommends testing software
May serve as a resource to associates with less experience
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field and four (4) years of software testing or experience with software development
Or High School Diploma or GED and eight (8) years of software testing or experience with software development
Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, or other modern RDMS
Skills and Competencies
Ability to learn IT systems and business processes quickly
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Ability to solve complex problems
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail
Strong self-motivation
Strong verbal and written communication skills
