Job Responsibilities
Position Overview: The primary duty of this position will be to assist with continued programmatic development and technical assistance for existing emergency preparedness software platforms using lessons learned during the ongoing COVID-19. These platforms will include primarily Juvare/WebEOC application and supporting other software applications emergency preparedness utilizes such as ReadyOP, and Geographic Information Services (GIS).The specialist will assist in the continued development of the platforms using lessons learned during the ongoing COVID-19 Outbreak Response.
Position Duties:
Must be able to perform the following activities: Use web/front-end developer skills (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, etc.) to iteratively configure and customize the WebEOC user interface to specifications.
Participate in onsite or virtual requirements discovery sessions.
Assist in the development and documentation of software user requirements.
Hands on experience and demonstrated competence with Microsoft SQL Server and common web programming skills. Experience with APIs and system integrations a plus.
Experience using Application/UI frameworks (Bootstrap, Material, etc.) Desire to understand the emergency and crisis management mission of DPH. Prior experience working directly with users.
Provide on-site software technical services, training and performing process evaluations to assist users in the support of WebEOC and other emergency notification/incident management specific software programs such as ReadyOP, Knack, etc.
